CLEANING OBJECT / Filling systems

Make every product-contact boundary explicit.

A filling system can contain multiple cleaning paths, removable parts and features that are not designed for CIP. Begin with the filling-equipment supplier’s approved cleaning boundary.

01

Identify closed-loop connections and all non-CIP parts. Do not present a connected filler as fully cleanable without its equipment-specific arrangement.

02

Define handshake signals between the skid and filling controls. Cleaning must not start while the equipment is in an incompatible production or maintenance state.

03

Keep cleaning, disinfection and any sterilization requirements distinct. An aseptic filling claim requires evidence beyond a generic CIP cycle.

Production state: cleaning supply and return are isolated under the agreed valve and control arrangement. A drawn connection does not prove safe isolation.
