CLEANING OBJECT / Tanks & vessels

Coverage and return drainage define the vessel duty.

A tank is a surface-cleaning task as well as a liquid-circulation task. The cleaning device, internal fittings and low-point return determine what the CIP skid must deliver.

01

Review surface coverage with the cleaning-device supplier. Two vessels of equal volume can require different arrangements because their shapes and internals differ.

02

Match return removal to delivery so the vessel does not retain unwanted pools or flood the cleaning pattern. Consider air entrainment and intermittent return.

03

Include access for inspection and the agreed coverage/residue checks. Reassess the duty when an agitator, nozzle or product is changed.

Production state: cleaning supply and return are isolated under the agreed valve and control arrangement. A drawn connection does not prove safe isolation.
