CIP BUYER’S GUIDE

Plan the connections before the skid arrives.

Installation readiness is more than available floor space. The selected cleaning path, return destination, utilities and control permissions need to be reviewed together.

01

Supply and return connections

Identify each connection, bore, elevation and isolation point. Check that the proposed arrangement matches the actual installed path rather than an outdated drawing.

02

Utilities and drainage

Record the available water, heating service, power and other agreed utilities. Identify where rejected solution and final discharge go and whether the plant can handle the selected operating case.

03

Access and layout

Provide space for operator access, tank inspection, pump maintenance and instrument replacement. Confirm the route into the installation area and height limits.

04

Production isolation

Agree the physical separation and control permissions between cleaning and production states. Review failure cases and any equipment that remains operating nearby.

05

Controls handover

Define I/O, communications, signal ownership and tests with the plant team. A skid control interface needs the correct counterpart on the connected equipment.
