CIP BUYER’S GUIDE

A useful quotation starts with a defined scope.

A price is meaningful when the equipment duty, interfaces and responsibilities are comparable. These are the scope items to settle before reviewing a configured CIP proposal.

01

Storage and circulation

Tank allocation, working inventory, pump operating points and return collection affect the mechanical arrangement. Compare duties rather than a nominal tank count.

02

Heating and measurement

The utility arrangement and required instrument points change both the equipment and installation scope. Identify flow, temperature and return assessment responsibilities.

03

Valves and controls

Circuit selection, actuation, feedback, recipe handling and plant integration add different levels of scope. Name the functions included in each offer.

04

Installation boundary

Specify what belongs to the skid and what belongs to site piping, wiring, utilities, drainage and access. A compact package does not remove site work.

05

Acceptance and documentation

Agree drawings, interface information, commissioning checks and cleaning acceptance responsibilities. Compare exclusions as carefully as included components.
