INDUSTRY APPLICATION / CIP

Sauces & liquid foods CIP systems

Sauces and liquid foods can leave residues that differ from those in a clear beverage. Begin with the actual product, viscosity, ingredients and equipment arrangement. Agitators, heated surfaces and transfer paths can each change the cleaning duty.

01

Product soil

Describe the product and observed residue rather than selecting cleaning conditions from a generic recipe.

02

Vessel internals

Review agitators, baffles and other surfaces that can obstruct the cleaning pattern.

03

Retained product

Locate low points, equipment pockets and transfer sections that do not empty as intended.

04

Compatibility

Confirm supplier cleaning limits and requirements for ingredients, allergens and product changes.

Define the cleaning boundary

CIP is suitable only for the agreed equipment designed for that method. Removable parts and non-CIP equipment require separate cleaning arrangements.
